FAQs

Girls Rising Strong is a methodically curated program rooted in research-based character development. It is designed to empower young girls by cultivating, nurturing and challenging character growth, emotional intelligence, and tools for navigating adolescence, helping them transition into confident, capable young women.

GRS is tailored for girls from fourth grade through middle school. We divide participants into age-appropriate groups to ensure the curriculum is relevant and impactful.

Yes, We are developing a module to called GRSstrong V.O.I.C.E.S.
Vision. Ownership. Integrity. Connection. Empathy. Strength.

This will help equip 9th and 10th grade students with the emotional intelligence (EQ) and social intelligence (SQ) skills they need to lead themselves and others with integrity, empathy, and intention.

GRS focuses on teaching and cultivating skills pertaining to self-awareness, emotional intelligence, communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving. We also cover topics such as resilience, positive decision-making, and fostering healthy relationships.

GRS is a four-year program that follows a semester-based system. Each semester has 10-12 sessions, each lasting a maximum of 2.5 hours.

Each session is divided into 5 key sections: Community Building, Exploring Trait, Experiential/Hands-On Learning, Making Sense, and Closing Circle.

Each semester participants and parents each receive a high-quality color print, coil bound toolkit (one per girl and one per family). The toolkit for designed to anchor each session and parent workshop, provide additional resources and activities, as well as serve as a self-reflection program guide for the semester.

Parents can expect the Girls Rising Strong program to provide a comprehensive, character-centered approach to empowering their daughters in key areas of personal development and building and strengthening their personal parenting skills.

GRS creates a safe and supportive space for girls to explore and embrace who they are, preparing them for the social, academic, and personal challenges they may face with confidence and resilience. Parents can expect a noticeable positive shift in their daughters’ self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and overall sense of agency.

Our facilitators are college students and young professionals who are passionate about youth development and empowerment. Each program facilitator goes through our Elevate Adolescence Program (EAP) facilitator training workshops. This consist of two, two hour comprehensive online trainings.  Each Facilitator also receives a EAP facilitator guide.
